As apiarists, we are focused on improving the genetics of the local honey bee population, we work with our best queens and keep introducing diversity in genetics from fellow reputable breeders and special projects like Harbo, Purdue's biters, Pol lines, from all over the country. We work with different honeybee breeds, Carniolans, Caucasians, Cordobans and Russians, plus our already established local survivor stock, selecting for desirable traits. It became our goal the development of a gentle honeybee, mite resistant/hygienic, highly productive and frugal during dearth and winter. That is the path where we are right now, and to share our bees with the world.
We humans have known the benefits of honey for thousands of years. Many stages of the traditional or additional processes such as pasteurization, rid of most of the healthy benefits we seek in it. Many highly beneficial enzymes that we look for in honey, are destroyed at temperatures higher than 104F. We team up with The NewBee Journal, to work on our hives improving the hive temperature and humidity environment, to promote healthier bees and the superiority of real enzyme-loaded honey as nature intended. We amplify the benefit of honey by supporting BEe The World, a non-profit organization committed to bring the healing benefits of honey to cancer patients, and pollination gardens to orphanages and senior living centers.
Our nucs will be ready for pick up from April to May, you will receive an email/text when your bees are ready to be picked up. We are excited that you chose us to be your bee supplier, welcome to one huge bee loving family!
Nucs are small colonies with 3 frames with full coverage of bees with brood and a queen, one frame of honey, and the fifth frame ready for the colony to expand, it could be some honey, empty frame or plastic foundation.
People who pay a $100 deposit will be prioritized once nucs become available. We do not make a large amount of nucs.
